Lee’s Environmental was privileged to support Redlands Easter Family Festival again this year with both a generous financial donation and three of our very own staff, Brett Saunders, Natalie Cooper and Claire Hildebrand volunteering their time. Held by the combined churches of the Redlands on Easter Monday, the free, fun-filled family festival attracted approx 20,000 visitors of all ages. Many who came were touched by the Christian Easter message of God’s free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, demonstrated with all the activities, rides, entertainment, food and drinks freely given through all the volunteers and donations. Rain threatened to wash out the event but the Lord answered the many prayers for great weather with only a short sprinkle sending people under cover and even enhancing the friendly atmosphere.

Mayor Karen Williams, Kim Richards and various other well known figures were part of the official start to the day. The event embraced multi-culturalism with its line up of performers which included the famous kid’s Entertainer Dan Warlow and Quandamooka dancers. Some of the highlights of the event for the young ones were the giant slide, archery, tea cup ride, and rock climbing wall. The hungry visitors also enjoyed the donuts, sausages, scones and other delicious food on offer.

Redlands Easter Family Festival returns again on Easter Monday next year so why not plan to take your family to the 2020 event at the Cleveland Showgrounds! For details, visit: http://redlandschurches.org/
