Record-Breaking Prayer Breakfast!
Lee’s Environmental was privileged to be the key sponsor of the 2019 Redlands Mayoral Prayer Breakfast hosted by Mayor Karen Williams. The record- breaking breakfast raised more than $25,000 to support chaplaincy and those in attendance filled the Alexandra Hills conference centre venue to capacity.
Opened by Senior Chaplain Ken Mihill, the event was attended by the chaplains who faithfully serve in schools across the Redlands as well as school students, businesses, pastors, and other members of the local community. Scripture passages were read by local school students and prayers were spoken for the community, chaplains and students.
Finally, guest speaker and Australian Olympic gold medalist, Duncan Armstrong enthralled the audience with his life story and the testimony of his faith in Jesus Christ.
Chaplaincy provides vitally needed support for students having difficulties at school and at home. Each year, chaplains care for thousands of young people, guiding them through issues from bullying to depression, and for those who just need a listening ear. Chaplains can often be the much needed helping hand towards success for many students.
