Lee’s Environmental is one of the main donators for a new home for orphan boys in Myanmar. Over several years, Pastor Joseph and his wife, already parents to three children of their own, took in over 40 needy children whose parents had died. The boys and girls were housed where they could fit with the girls upstairs in the main house and the boys in an adjoining building on the same property. Over time, the adjoining building became dilapidated, exposing the children to the weather.
Local Queenslander, Col, a long term supporter and friend of the orphanage, took up the then urgent cause of the needy children giving of his own funds and finding support to fund the remainder of a new building. The children were so grateful at the opening of the new building, making a sign to honour Col.
The project has taken several months with progress shots sent regularly and the children eagerly anticipating their new home. The building is now finished and the boys have excitedly made themselves at home in the new building. Lee’s are thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of these young lives.
Lee’s Environmental has a heart for the people of Myanmar with two staff going on a mission trip to the country in 2018. Lee’s also donated pumps and other large items for a shipping container sent from Australia to help another orphanage in Myanmar last year.
